Do you ALWAYS need a postage stamp?

Monday, December 29th, 2008

In the past, I’ve done a couple money orders at the post office and usually they give me a stamp without me having to ask. Earlier today I went to the post office and did a money order and paid for all that stuff, then I mailed my payment. Until now, like 9 hours later, I realized there was no stamp on the envelope.

Here’s the thing, I live in Canada, Ontario sending the money order to Saskatchewan also in Canada. I’m no expert at mailing things.. so could you tell me if I need a stamp if it’s being sent within Canada? Perhaps they didn’t remind me because I didn’t need one, but I doubt that. Every money order I’ve done in the past I had a stamp and also, it was outside of Canada.

Let me know if I should be expecting the mail to come back to me.. and if so, would I have to pay for, and remail it again.
I’m stupid.

HELP.. ;D

If my postage cost is 8.82, do I pay that or use that many stamps?

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I know, it’s a dumb question, but I’m only sixteen okay?
I’ve never known, Do I pay the shipping cost of 8.82?
Or do I pay it in stamps?
Because I know without enough stamps, it can’t go far enough.

It’s odd yes, but thanks for any help!
Oh, and negative feedback isn’t nessecary.
Thank you! :D

I have a lot of small denomination stamps, what can I do with them other than using them as postage?

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

They’re not old, just the currently circulated 1,2,3,4,5,10 cent stamps. Can I cash them in or trade them for 41 cent stamps? I’d keep them but I already have enough small denomination stamps that are worthwhile keeping. These are just sitting in my drawer.

Is there any reason I couldn’t use a few 39 cent stamps to cover the postage cost of a large envelope?

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

It’s easier for me to just slap some stamps on there than to go the post office and pay the correct postage by weight. If I slap a few stamps on there, do you think that’ll cover it (it’s just a few pieces of paper that I didn’t want to fold up) or will the post office return it to me, insisting that I have it weighed and pay the exact amt?

How much postage for graduation invitation?

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

I am graduating from college and going to send out invitations. The envelope size is about 5 inches by 8 inches. They are nice invitations with an inner and outer envelope. I have 40 cent stamps on them now but realized it is probably heavier than a normal envelope. So doesn’t it cost more? How much? THANKS!!! :o)

How does one find the true value of there home?

Friday, December 26th, 2008

Public records show my house 100sgft smaller than it is. And they
don’t show a two car attached garage. Let alone the fact that it sits on 1/2 acer instead of a postage stamp lot. And another three car
garage out back w/half bath. Triple wide concrete driveway. Oh and
a 10X20 hand biult on a slab out back that had no damage from Ivan.
